Nick Milmore scored two goals to lead Don Bosco Prep, No. 2 in the NJ.com Top 20, to a victory over fourth-ranked Bergen Catholic, 7-1, at Ice Vault Arena in Wayne.

Massimo Monteleone, Matthew Shpungin and Kris Krumins recorded a goal and an assist apiece while Brendan Murphy and Ty Oller scored a goal apiece for Don Bosco Prep (7-2).


Matt Imbriano and Edward Asante tallied two assists apiece for Don Bosco Prep, which has won each of its last six games against in-state opponents since falling to top-ranked Christian Brothers on Opening Day.

Matthew Hughes scored unassisted for the lone goal for Bergen Catholic, which drops to 2-2-1 with the loss.

The teams have had plenty of recent history, with Bergen Catholic edging Don Bosco Prep in the 2020 Bergen County Tournament final before Bosco got revenge in the semifinals of last season’s Gordon Cup.

The two will face off once again later this season, with the rematch at Ice House in Hackensack scheduled for Feb. 3.
