Don Bosco Prep senior RB Jalen Berger put it simply: “We’re back.” Berger’s declaration came moments after he and teammate Kyle Monangai torched previously-No. 1 St. Joseph (Mont.) on Saturday. The pair of dynamic running backs accounted for four of Don Bosco’s five touchdowns and combined for more than 400 yards themselves in a 35-14 rout of the Green Knights for their first signature win under new coach Dan Sabella. Defensively, LB Colin Ramos and DL Jahmir Greene led a unit that took away what St. Joseph does best - run the football - and contained star RB Audric Estime to 48 rushing yards on 14 attempts. The Don Bosco defense also forced nine punts.
