Don Bosco Prep's dominance over Bergen County continues.

Don Bosco Prep, top-seeded and No. 1 in the NJ.com Top 20, remained the only ever Bergen County Tournament champion with a 5-1 victory over second-seeded and No. 8 St. Joseph (Mont.) at the Ice Vault in Wayne. It's the eighth consecutive BCT championship since its inception in 2012.

For the Ironmen, its the 7th time that they've won the Bergen County Tournament championship game by three or more goals. The only team to play Don Bosco close to the final whistle was Ramsey which lost, 2-1, in the 2015 title game.

Don Bosco has defeated Ramsey (three times), Paramus Catholic, Tenafly, Glen Rock, Indian Hills and now St. Joseph (Mont.) to clinch those eight county tournament titles.

Will Fortescue, Connor Sedlak and Hunter McGee propelled the Ironmen to an early 3-0 lead in the first period with Sedlak and McGee scoring within a matter of 16 seconds between the two. St. Joseph (Mont.) was able to chip away at the early deficit when Aiden Grieco found the back of the net with less than four minutes left in the opening frame.

Don Bosco continued its offensive onslaught, which would culminate in a 44-17 edge in shots on goal by the final whistle, as Dimitriy Ignatov and Zach Hammond netted goals in the second and third periods, respectively.
