Kirk Parsons made five 3-pointers and finished with 22 points as West Side, No. 8 in the NJ.com Top 20, rallied to stun No. 4 Don Bosco Prep, 68-64, at the Valerie Fund Showcase at Marist High School in Bayonne.

Don Bosco, which came in on a 10-game winning streak, led 23-7 after one quarter and appeared to be on its way to extending the streak. But West Side, with its eyes on winning its fifth straight, outscored its Bergen County opponent 21-4 in the second quarter to claim a 28-27 halftime lead. The two teams played basically even from there with West Side, which made 20 foul shots, holding a 23-19 advantage in the fourth.

Parsons, who added four steals, earned Team MVP honors for West Side (11-3). Dashawn Latham had 19 points, four assists and four steals, while James Bell and Troy Rodwell scored nine points apiece.

Myles Ruth scored 25 points to earn MVP honors for Don Bosco Prep (11-2).
